Who are we?

The Frontier Soccer Association is nothing more than a group of parents, grandparents, coaches and supporters that supports kids playing soccer in our community. Currently, frontier soccer teams play in the GLRSA (Greater Lafayette Recreational Soccer Alliance) leagues.

Having Fun Since 1995!

The Frontier Soccer Association was started during the fall of 1994 by a group of parents who had kids playing in the Lafayette, Indiana recreational leagues. With the desire to promote soccer in the community and with a more selfish goal of "having practices" closer to home, the organization fromed.

Starting in the Spring of 1995 several teams were formed to play in the Lafayette leagues. During the first season the organization fielded two U6,U8,U10 teams and one U15 team. Though only a handfull of kids had played soccer before others began to learn quickly. During the first season two teams, U6 "Toddler Time" and U10 girls "Luxury Limo", went undefeated for the season. The "Luxury Limo" team with an impressive 9-0-2 record won their league division and league tournament.

Thus began a sting of winning teams.

Recent Achievements

After several years of excellent performances during the season only to be knocked out early in the tournament, a group of boys currently forming the U12 team, succeded in winning their league tournament in the Fall 2000 season.

Most of these U12 boys have played together on separate teams since the age of 5-6. Their hard work finally paid off this year when the went undefeated and untied for 18 straight games. The "Shoe Carnival" boys won the 2000 Fall tournament and were knocked out in the semi-finals in the 2001 spring tournament after a very challenging 1-0 game. The "Big Orange", also known as the "Shooting Shoes", outscored their opponents 41-7 in the Fall.
